WebSCADA is a software program designed for the monitoring and control of aids to navigation via the internet.
- Each station to be monitored needs its equipment to be connected to an Outstation Box - see separate LTG800 & LightGuard Basic leaflets. The Outstation Box then sends and receives messages to WebSCADA via Email or SMS text message
- The WebSCADA system stores the received telemetry information in a database.
- The WebSCADA software is programmed by Pelangi (or the client with training) with the specific site data and monitor points depending on what equipment is present.
- A series of fully flexible graphical screens and user defined reports tailored to the needs of the customer.
- The WebSCADA software can be conveniently installed either on a server (see picture below) which is supplied to the customer, or simply hosted on the existing Pelangi server.

Powerful, fully programmable Master Station system, suitable for monitoring GSM and Satellite Outstations.
- Telemetry information can be analysed to investigate performance trends or compare two similar sites. This can enable pre-planned maintenance to be scheduled in the event of equipment deterioration in some cases preventing the need for more expensive unplanned action on a fire-fighting basis.
- WebSCADA can also be programmed to generate immediate alarms or warnings in if conditions are met which require immediate notification, for example low battery volts, light failure etc. The alarm can be sent to up to 3 mobile phone numbers or email addresses.
- The WebSCADA can be accessed from any PC with an internet connection via a secure login and password. This is true whether the server is hosted by the customer or at Pelangi.
- If the server is hosted by the client, Pelangi can still access remotely to add new sites or provide support in the event of difficulties.
- Reports from sites can be easily changed to alarm only reports to reduce communication charges after initial commissioning of the station.
- The Server can accept combinations of GSM sites and email messages from remote Satellite sites who do not have GSM coverage such as offshore buoys.
- The Server can also combine reports from simple buoy sites or complex lighthouse stations. There is no restriction in message lengths.
