FS series
is an efficient compact fog signal suitable for use on platforms,
large buoys, and in hazardous (Zone 1) areas.
- Choice of variants to suit range requirements
of the station: FS1/1MEx – 0.5 or 1 mile range depending upon output level
selected. FS3/2MEx – 2 mile range stacked unit using three
of the same drivers.
- Durable lightweight aluminium casting, with anti-corrosive
treatment and stainless steel diaphragms give excellent protection
against the elements.
- Reliable driver with MTBF of over 10 years with no maintenance.
Easy access for driver replacement.
- Simple mounting arrangement for bolting to any flat surface.
Optional provision for Lantern mounting bracket on the
top, saving space.
- Efficient sound transmission. Square wave oscillation helps
to reduce reflective interference thus increasing performance.
- Integrated Control Circuit, with no
separate controls required. Able to be programmed to sound
morse ‘U’ or
other IALA characters.
- Easily able to be controlled externally by an FD7100 Fog Detector
or PELANET monitoring system.
- Baffles available for reducing sound emission by about 10dB
over a 90o Angle, to reduce annoyance where people are located.
