The SC155 is of high-quality construction particularly suited to remote or weather-beaten locations where long periods without maintenance and high reliability are needed.
- Large 32Ah Valve-regulated Lead Acid battery included as standard. Optional 34 Ah NiMh battery with 10-15 year life, offers very long deployment periods with no maintenance.
- Total weight of just 25Kgs, and built-in handles makes SC155 ideal for easy installation on lightweight columns or small buoys.
- The SC155 has no extra interconnecting wiring, exposed cabling or connections.
- External LEMO socket allows the lantern to be activated, programmed and flasher/battery parameters to be monitored directly, without the need for internal access.
- Optional GSM Monitoring by mobile phone or internet – see overleaf for details.
- Optional GPS receiver, which can be used for synchronisation of the flash codes of multiple lanterns, or in conjunction with GSM monitoring to provide an off-station alarm or theft warning. Antennae are discretely mounted.
SC155 Features:
- Strong tamperproof moulded polyethylene housing, designed to be fully weatherproof, and protect the solar panels from damage or theft.
- Housing is colour-coded to increase daytime visibility, and coordinates with the colour of the mark or buoy.
- Robust, efficient, low profile lantern, optimised for low temperatures, and ice pack conditions.
- Wide or Narrow lens versions available to suit buoys or beacon.
Lantern can achieve a range of 3 to 5 Miles @ T=0.74. Pelangi can provide solar calculations to determine the best intensity and range achievable for a given flash code, and location.
SC155 Monitoring Options:
- Mobile Monitoring: SC155 can be supplied with ‘Smartlink Basic’ fitted with Customers free issued SIM card to enable a text message to be sent a nominated mobile with a simple alarm or respond to individual status requests.
- Webscada Monitoring – Pelangi Server: Again using GSM, full monitored data is relayed to the Pelangi Webscada site, enabling the customer to log on via the internet to check the lantern status or receive regular reports or alarms via email. This reduces the need for an engineer to attend site to inspect the lantern, giving peace of mind that it is functioning correctly.
- Webscada Monitoring – Customer Server: In this case the full Webscada programme loaded on clients computer and unit is monitored and interrogated directly. An extended Webscada programme available to enable multi-user access over a network with controlled access for multi-level users such as engineering and maintenance staff.
