The PL85
marine lantern has been designed by Pelangi as a buoy or beacon
lantern for short to medium ranges.
- Wide divergence lens will adequately compensate for buoy roll
in heavy sea conditions or where the buoy is positioned in
strong currents.
- Polycarbonate or acrylic lenses available.
- Ideal electrical replacement for acetylene powered buoy lights
with wide divergence.
- When used as a marine beacon it can be mounted at a convenient
height and not necessarily in line with a ship's bridge, as
with narrow divergence lanterns.
- The base is a one piece marine grade LM25 aluminium casting
with 7 hole fixings to interchange with customers' existing lanterns
with 3 or 4 hole centres.
- Choice of flashers: EasyFlash or EasyFlash communicator for
synchronised radio control or C-R, APS, ELCO-12 or APF 247P units
for interchangeability.
- One M20 cable gland provided when using the internal photo-cell
or an extra entry if an external cell is desired.
- The lens is coloured to the IALA chromasticity co-ordinates
and screws into the base with an 'O' ring seal to IP66 standard.
- All internal brackets are stainless steel with a brass nickel
plated B22d lampholder to take the standard range of twin-filament
lamps up to 60 watts.
